We went to the Zoo with my friend Laura and her kids Caden and Annabelle on Tuesday. She has a membership and was nice enough to offer us her discounted rate :) I forget how awesome this place is on a weekday! Not crowded at all and we could see all of the animals and the weather was amazing!
We rode the Monorail train too, they had fun pointing at all of the animals.
They also had a baby Mandrill hanging onto its momma. It's hard to see in the reflection, but it was just adorable!
We had lunch at the Safari area in the cafe that looks out towards the Lions, and it was really cool! We actually witnessed the male lion standing up and roaring really loud. I never get that kind of show when I go to the zoo, so it was fun to see. I wish the zoo was as close as the Arboretum, we would be there once a week!
