Once again I fell behind on my blog posts and now have to shove in a few pics of randoms this past month! One afternoon it was in the high 80's so I blew up the baby pool for some swim time. Of course Luna had a ball and Belle wanted nothing to do with the cold water and wanted to climb! One Monday morning I decided to take the girls to the Arboretum instead of our normal Central Market outing, since the weather was so nice and it won't last long! Luna loved running in the frog pond. On April 16th I was the parent volunteer at Luna's school that morning! They were studying Europe, so I decided to focus on what else, Paris of course! I read Madeline and This is Paris story books and the kids loved it! I brought a mini Eiffel tower to show them and then had them make their own on paper with glitter and glue. They really enjoyed it! I was busy with 8 toddlers and Belle, so I was only able to take a picture of the finished product hanging up to dry, but I really had fun and can't wait for my next volunteer day.

Belle is almost a year old, and not my little baby anymore :( I can't believe it. She is such a cutie at this age, I love this stage where she hugs on me, and is really starting to show her little personality!
She is really signing well now and knows the "all done" and "more". She laughs and giggles all the time and loves being entertained by her sister. We are still doing Kindermusik and she loves and enjoys all music and dancing with her momma! She is ALMOST walking and loves pushing the walker all over the house. I have a video of it on our big video player I will have to upload soon and show you all, it's so cute!! She is sleeping a lot better now, she wakes up once to eat around 3:30am or so, and goes right back to sleep. We're hoping this last feeding goes away soon so we don't have to do any middle of the night cry it outs! Her favorite food is Yo Baby yogurt. I can hide any veggie or puree in it and she'll eat it! She loves Cheerios, black beans and blueberries too, but for the most part turns her nose to other finger foods. So I have to still work at the purees for her. We are looking forward to her birthday party next weekend with her sister Luna!! I decided to do a combined party to knock it out in one weekend while our family is in town. We were lucky enough to find a great patch of Bluebonnets in our neighborhood for photos today! I got the girls dressed in their matching dresses and headed out for some good sun around 5:30pm. Thanks to my professional photographer friends, they gave me some great tips on my camera settings, thanks girls! Since I still have no idea what I am doing with my DSLR I signed up for a photo class at Richland this summer, yay!
We hit some patios this week around Dallas with the girls. Hands down, best patio for the kids is The Lot. It used to be our old beach volleyball pit called the Backyard Beach Club. Now the sandpit is a playground for kids! Fun times. The downside of The Lot is the food, to put it bluntly, it's pretty disgusting. Todd sent back his meatloaf sandwich and he NEVER sends stuff back, he hates complaining but felt it was that bad. I ordered the pimento cheese sandwich and it was as if they put a stick of butter inside of it, dripping in grease. But Luna's chicken and veggies was pretty good. Then we went to Chicken Scratch in Oak Cliff and LOVED the food! We got the Rotisserie Chicken with amazing mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. We also got the hummus lettuce wraps and were pretty good. We sat on the patio and loved how laid back it is and you can bring your dogs too.
The past couple of weeks we had a lot of family visitors. Buelo Richard came to town, then the girls' Aunt Heather, Uncle Rey and the kids stopped by at 7am one morning on the way to San Antonio for a quick visit. Then my dad and Sherry came in town to visit and celebrate Aunt Erika's bday. Fun times! We went to Klyde Warren Park with my dad and Sherry had a great time, then celebrated my sister's bday at Stampede 66.
