We also got a few other cute gifts and my grandmother bought her the cutest little booties (pictured below).
As for the rest of the baby gear, we decided to start out at the mega superstore, Babies R Us, and even though we put on our good walking shoes, were exhausted after our 2 hour registry tour! Before we registered we researched Consumer Reports, and bought our Baby Bargain book that has everything rated from A-Z. We decided on the Chicco stroller/car seats as it was rated safest for infants, then we went through all of the ins and outs of baby gear from bouncers, to swings, to playpens that double as bassinets, etc.
Then, a few nights later we decided on the new Buy Buy Baby store owned by Bed Bath and Beyond and you can use your same awesome coupons there too! They had a few different options than Babies R Us and it was fun to see all the different choices, especially the organic items. Todd was hilarious as he was adjusting to all of the 'pinkness' out there :) We also registered for a few items at Target as they had a much smaller department there and not as much to chose from but did have some cute stuff. We are so excited at all the goodies out there and Todd had the most fun using the scanning guns in all the stores, and hope we didn't go too overboard.
We also picked out our nursery furniture last week and will have delivered soon and now the hard part is deciding on the colors. We are thinking baby pink, white and a touch of black. For whatever reason I have never owned anything brown in my life, no brown shoes, clothes, purses, etc so I went towards black but I promise not too much, just a tiny accent. My mom and I have spent time in fabric stores, bedding shops and online searches and think we have it narrowed down finally to a few patterns but still working on it.
