As for the next few months, we are still anxiously trying to find a house and buy one in Austin before we get too close to our due date. Homes there are going for 300$ a foot and that is for the entire central city, including the hood and suburbs and land alone is worth around 250K to 300K, so needless to say we are a little shocked compared to the Dallas prices. For some reason Austin thinks they are New York City or something, I guess everyone wants to live there and no one is moving. So, if we have to stay in Dallas, we know we would try to eventually move to Austin, in another year or so. Hopefully we will have an answer soon!
Todd has also jokingly decided to name the baby bump 'Bertha' and talks to her daily. He first felt her move last week and it was a jolt to him! Pretty funny at the time but he said it made the pregnancy even more real! It's still very surreal to know there is a baby growing in there.
At 6 months pregnant now, it's hitting me how time has flown! It makes me realize that after all of my babysitting and nanny jobs in the past, and learning about the sleepless nights, nap times, you basically having to compromise a lot of free time once baby arrives.lol.. With that being said we were so glad we took a lot of adventures this past year venturing off to Europe for 2 weeks, to New York City, and snowboarding and going on many date nights, because we knew it would be much harder to do later on. We are very excited at this next phase of our lives and very ready to settle down and start our little family and start the role of being new parents!!! We can't wait for her to arrive!!!
