We had a great breakfast on Saturday and then went to The Heights to walk around all of the cute shops while Luna was in the Bjorn. After our little stroll down Main St., we headed to the best ice cream parlor ever, The Chocolate Bar, where they make their own homemade ice cream. I could live off of their Chocolate mandarin flavor with bits of orange and chunks of chocolate! Then we went back home for a much needed nap and then off to dinner at Mockingbird Bistro. I was a little nervous going to this restaurant as I was afraid it was too nice but Luna did great, looking around and slept for some of our dinner. I did have to feed her at one point and if only the other diners knew what was going on under my nursing shawl! We lucked out too as it was restaurant week and had an amazing meal, which of course the dessert was my favorite! We each got our own miniature sampler of cream brulee, bread pudding and a chocolate truffle!
Sunday we had a great breakfast buffet at Bistro Callais. We then headed back to Big D with all of our gear, and our 2 dogs, our car was super jam packed we were so glad we got the SUV this year! Luna had a great time visiting Houston and she can't wait to go back! We also stopped along the way to visit Todd's step dad and his wife Mary at Lake Corsicana. They have an amazing retirement home right on the lake and they were happy to meet Luna. The rest of the trip home went well, including our favorite truck stop, Bucee's! We had such a great adventure this weekend and can't wait for the next one next weekend to Oklahoma City.
