Luna had her first art lesson yesterday at the Science Place at Fair Park. They have a program called Little Explorers and the art class starts at age 6 months up to 2 years. When we got there, Luna put on a smock and her teacher explained the lesson of the day about Paul Cezanne and his fruits and pitchers themes.
There were several stations set up and we started with the sponge painting, then moved to the apple stamps and then over to the easel to finish her work. I wasn't sure if she would get 'it' but she totally did and started using the paintbrush on the paper!

We then moved over to the finger painting station. Luna started working on her canvas artwork. She really wanted to eat the paint, thank goodness it's non-toxic. She is so proud of her masterpiece! Cezanne would be proud!
