We spent Thanksgiving at my Uncle Jeff's house this year. I am so lucky most of our family lives in Dallas so we can all celebrate together and not travel too far. Thanksgiving morning we woke up and skipped the Turkey Trot this year since it was rainy and cold. We snuggled and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and relaxed and played. The girls took a nap and then we drove out to Uncle Jeff's in Plano. He did a great job on the turkey and we ordered our meal from Eatzi's and Luby's. Ha, it's the best way to go when you have 2 small children at home and not enough time to cook or clean! My grandmother was there, Erika, Coco, Buelo, cousin Grayson, Uncle Bud, Aunt Lisa and her son Chris and wife Laurie and their 2 sons. We had a great time and my girls had a blast with the boys and playing the drums :) Thanks for hosting Jeff!

Aunt Heather, Carolyn and Buelo Richard came into town the weekend before Thanksgiving and we had a great time with them! The girls love playing with them and hated to see them go.
Grandpa (aka my dad) turned 70 today!! He came in town for work and luckily it was the same week as his birthday and we could all see him! Sherry came too and the girls were excited to see her! We spent the day with them and then had dinner at the French Room to celebrate. Thanks to mom for babysitting!
Luna was out of school today so I took the girls to the Disney Store to do the Grand Opening at 10am! The first child there gets to open the store with a huge key and lock. I thought it would be a cool thing to do for our upcoming trip! My mom met us there and thankful she got there before me and was able to get our first place in line:) Belle also got a turn at opening the store and the clerk gave each of them a Disney Key ornament to take home.
Luna's Adventure Princess group had a box car derby race on Saturday. Todd had worked on it with her the week before but kept saying he just could not find the time or the tools to get it the way he wanted it. Ha, he now sees what it's like in the mom world of doing projects, baking and crafts for school and different functions. Finding the time is such the hardest part with 2 littles at home! Pinterest fail all the time at our house ;) Annnd, unfortunately Luna's car came in last place. But they learned some tricks for next year!
We celebrated our 6 year anniversary tonight and so thankful my mom could babysit! We went to CBD (central business district) at the Joule Hotel downtown and had a nice time, great food, champagne on the house and amazing dessert!
We had a great time celebrating Halloween this past week with my little Anna and Elsa sisters! We had a Trunk or Treat event at Luna and Belle's school on Sunday. Church members and preschool families decorated the trunks of their cars with different themes and handed out candy. There were also games and the popular cake walk! Luna and Belle did the cake walk maybe 10 times before Belle quit and Luna finally won her orange cupcake. Then Belle had her class Halloween party on Thursday and they had so much fun making Halloween picture frames and eating goodies. They also had a costume parade in the morning and it was just adorable to see them all parade around! Luna had her school party on Friday and loved parading around in her costume! I helped with their class party and lead their game activity of Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin and they had a lot of fun. Then the kids made spider hats, had a sensory bin game and then had cupcakes! And it was so nice that they included Belle in the festivities. I also took Belle trick or treating Halloween morning with our neighborhood PTA association to Walnut Place Retirement Home. The nursing home residents handed out candy and Belle also made them a pumpkin craft. It was so sweet and I think it made their day :) Then to top it all off for the day, we invited over a few neighbors to our house before we went Trick or Treating. We ordered pizza and set up our bounce house. The kids had a blast and then we were off to trick or treat! They were blown away by all the candy and were so adorable going up to each house and asking "trick or treat!" Thanks to my mom and Raul for staying behind and handing out candy! We love our street and are so glad we live on such a fun street with tons of kids.
We ventured up to Sooner territory last weekend to visit Todd's sister and family. To the girls, they are Aunt Heather, Uncle Rey, Little Rey and Carolyn. We had so much fun visiting them in their new home, going to the park, and good quality family time with them. Carolyn does cheer and the girls were so impressed by her skills. Little Rey also had his first dance Saturday night and it was fun seeing him get all dressed up. The girls also enjoyed feeding their pet turtle and playing with their dog Sugar! The only downside as usual when we travel is sleep. My girls do not sleep in the car, ugh! (or sleep in general on vacation) but it was well worth the trip!
We took the girls to the State Fair on Monday while Todd was off work. I LOVE the fair now that I have kids. There's just something about seeing them have so much fun and seeing things from their eyes. There is so much to do for kids. Animals, rides, food, Big Tex, cars, Vitamix Demos, people watching :) We had a blast and they napped well that afternoon!
Luna joined the YMCA Adventure Princesses (formally Indian Princess) with Todd. She is in the Trinity Tribe with Jillian, Addison and Tessa and their daddies. They each received a Davy Crockett hat and Luna threw whipped cream in Todd's face as an initiation tradition! They then went to Camp Grady Spruce for Tx/OU weekend and apparently had a blast! They hiked, rode horses, shot bb guns, and had fun campfire times! Wish I could have been a fly on the wall ;)
