We started off the Christmas season with choosing our Christmas tree and stringing the lights. Belle couldn't wait to hang the first ornament. The next day we realized we needed to take some pictures for our Christmas card and get them ordered, so we weren't sending them out on December 24th ;) We decided to head to the Arboretum at 4:30pm (it closes at 5pm). We ran in and snapped a few pictures while the staff were sweeping up. We actually ended up with a few cute ones of the girls! That Tuesday, I took the girls to Northpark for all of the fun Christmas activities. We did storytime with Santa and then walked around to see all of the store windows and decorations, then stopped by Scrooge's house. He poked fun at Belle's red hair and commented on how well behaved the sisters were. We were sitting next to a class of 20 third graders :) We had an ice storm blow in from nowhere the next weekend, and lasted 3 days! We managed to get out and celebrate Jack's 4th birthday party at Jump Street! The girls had a blast after having cabin fever. I had my annual Christmas ornament party that Sunday even though it was still icy out, I was determined to still have girl time and so glad so many were able to make it! Then I had my MOPS table Christmas party at Times Ten that Thursday and we did a favorite things gift exchange. So fun! I took Belle the next week, to her very own Toddler playdate with the toddler group in my PTA. I never am able to go because I have Luna with me, so it was nice to take her and do a fun Christmas cookie exchange. I'm lucky though that the moms in Luna's playgroup all have second borns as well so Belle has a lot of playmates. On Saturday the 12th, we went to Camille's for a book club brunch. The girls had so much fun and I snapped a picture of Luna playing with Ellie in her bed with Laila reading books. I bought a Gingerbread house for Luna to decorate and Belle looked on (please ignore my morning hair ;). They had fun decorating it and was our centerpiece until after Christmas :) Have I mentioned how much I love all the fun kid things to do at Christmas? That Sunday we went to the Grapevine Polar Express. The girls absolutely loved it!! Luna's favorite part was the hot chocolate they served at the end. Go figure! Monday night we headed to our friends Michelle and Brad's house for their annual Santa party. She hired a santa back in August to come and read stories to the kids. She served hot chocolate with all the fixings, and cupcakes for the kids. So much fun!!! My mom went with us and the girls to the Arboretum to see their Christmas decorations the next day. Their theme this year was Angels and it was beautiful! Luna had her school Christmas party the last day of school. We had a Christmas tea for the kids and then they sang a few songs. It was so cute! My tea table theme was the Rudolph movie that I did with Will's mom Jessica. It was a lot of fun! Check out Luna's enthusiastic performance! I was cracking up! Our last big Christmas activity was Todd's company Christmas party downtown at the Omni. We had a great time and loved that when I walked in, they treated us all to a Tiffany necklace as our gift! Now that's my kind of company! Thanks for babysitting mom!
