The countdown is on! We finished our 12 week birthing classes last week and completed our CPR class. Todd and I also went to get our car seat installed by the Dallas Police Department as they said 80% of people install them incorrectly. I was also told to return my plastic backseat mirror to view the baby, as it could harm her if we were in an accident! The things you learn as you go.
We're also about done with the master bathroom so we won't have any more contractors coming in and out of our home. Now if only I could snap my fingers and have them put in our jacuzzi tub in the other bathroom today, I would be all set, but will probably have to wait on that project.
As far as how the baby is progressing, I am 2 cm dilated, 50% effaced and have gained about 30 pounds total, so right on target. The baby is facing downward thank goodness, not breeched, but we still want to make sure she is turned anterior, to make for a faster delivery. So hopefully as we get closer she will start facing my back. Sleeping has been okay, of course have to wake up to go to the bathroom a lot and still having a hard time sleeping on my left side the whole night and if I have to roll over, it is a huge effort to lug my bowling ball belly over to the other side. Of course I am sure that my interrupted sleep is nature's way of preparing me for the sleepless nights that are coming up!
